We develop and study stable and tunable materials to tackle challenges related to energy and sustainability. Our focus: catalysis and energy storage.

Research Areas

We engineer tunable materials using coating technologies such as Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD), Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD), Self-Assembled Monolayer (SAM) coating, sputtering, and more. We aim to investigate the effects of perturbations (electric fields, surface plasmons, thermoacoustics, etc.) on material properties and performances, and develop fundamental understanding to enable better and economical transformation of feedstocks to high value fuels and chemicals. We currently focus on three key areas.
